Well, answer.
Mine has been mindsurfing for the past few days, in between doing some physicsy stuff. Final got that review over and done with so I’m back to reading and thinking about things again.
Here’s Ollie Fla after a sketchy enough time getting out of the water. Make for Higher Ground!

Same dodgy devil reef from a few posts ago. Ollie was caught in the middle of it and had to scramble when a clean up set started rearing it’s nasty head right behind him.

Blurg.
My photoshop is acting the maggot.
It’s hard to do HDR with surf stuff as there’s usually waves moving so the photos don’t link up so well.
So my plan was to save three different exposures of the same shot then blend them to make a HDR shot, but like I said my photoshop is acting the maggot and won’t do this for me so I went for cut and paste then attacked it with an eraser. Not so bad considering the method.
I’m happy enough anyway.

The ocean has some set of lungs on it.
Here it is trying it’s hardest to blow Lowey over.

That’s Mickey filming their Power of Three movie in the water. It’s out in next months Carve (as far as I know) and should be crazy good if last years video is anything to go by.

Garry Carroll is one talented funny guy.
Ryan McGrath is an amazing dancer.
Pretty much the best video I’ve ever seen.

The bottom turn, I might just be imagining it but there doesn’t seem to be enough photos of decent bottom turns anymore.
I’m half thinking of getting boys out there on some twin fins so they can really dig in. I reckon it always looks best when shot from side on as well, you can really see them digging in.

Keth O’Brien, loving this one.

is boring as hell.
Every punter who goes to the cliff gets a shot like this but phsio says stay out of the water so I just shot a handful before heading to more accesible locations.

I really have to get a channel lens. Saving starts now for that 85mm. Or I might just get the nifty fifty right now.
Anyway my latest exercises are to stop going to the loo, which is handy because I do that pretty much all the time.
Well actually I have to clench my insides and that’s how the physio described it, gross but kinda funny.
So we headed off in a crazy big convoy to find some normal sized waves. Which turned out to be a good bit bigger than normal.

It was pretty setty but a few waves opened up for the brave souls who danced across the absolutely horrible death reef. Seriously the nastiest rock ever.

I thought I had more to say but my mind’s gone blank.
Hope you got waves over the weekend.

Nothing to talk about today.
Here’s a photo from my travels.

Tom Lowe backdooring a chunky beast.
Thought this angle might look cool but on the bomb wave of the day the focus caught the spray and started hunting so I missed the shot.
Really need to get my hands on that Mk3.
Also Tonnta T’s are no available on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170317825850&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:IE:1123
